St. Luke's Parish welcomes Father Todd Kissam, his wife Heather, and their son Simon! Fr. Todd has been called to be Priest-in-Charge for St. Luke's Parish. We look forward to growing together in Christ.

FROM FATHER TODD… Dear friends of St. Luke's and St. Andrew's,

Dear St. Luke's and St. Andrew's family,
Oh the dogwoods!... At least along our street in Salisbury as I write this monthly greeting.
As much as Heather and I yearn for the calendar days to skip ahead for our full and definitive move into the rectory in Church Hill (which will be happening as you are all probably reading this!!), it has been a blessing to see them another springtime here. Last year they blossomed in conjunction with the date of Good Friday, it just happened that it was how Easter and Holy Week landed on the calendar. With the cross=shaped blossoms and the tinge of red as they're beginning to unfold they provided rich material for reflection on all creation's response to the death and resurrection of our Lord. This season they accompany the current tragic events our nation has witnessed these past couple of weeks, Through the pain and bewilderment of these tragedies the dogwoods still invite me further into affirming the poignant, utterly beautiful gesture of love that the Cross and Resurrection is for us.
May is here and this coming month allows us to share the milestones of significant 90th year birthdays transferred in their celebrations to Mother's Day. We will have more details in our bulletins and by parish email notices. Pentecost is the following Sunday so search out your favorite red to sport for the day.
The 7th is also the date that Simon reports for his learn-how-to-eat program in Baltimore for approximately seven weeks, some of the later weeks of which might be outpatient depending on his progress. Please continue to keep Simon in your prayers, and thank you for your incredible support throughout all this time.
Finally, we have had a wonderful vestry retreat and we will share our ideas and goals soon. We have a great spirit and by God's grace, we continue this enthusiasm and momentum as Christ blesses us with his very Spirit for doing his work and sharing his life among us. All Pentecost blessings this season!

Faithfully, Fr. Todd
